Features

Full HD 1080p resolution: See all of your programming in the highest resolution currently possible. Many Microdisplay, LCD and Plasma sets are only able to display 1280 x 720 pixels. When showing 1080i content (1920×1080), these sets will lower the resolution. Not with a 1080p set. This never throws any resolution away.

Wide color enhancer: LCD TVs use a type of fluorescent lamp as their light source. Just like the fluorescent lamps in offices and other places, these lamps tend to emphasize blue. Samsung adjusts the signal so that the picture you see is more natural and closer to the original.

S-PVA panel: When the whole family sits down to watch TV, or when you have guests over to watch the game, it’s important that everyone gets to see the action. With Samsung’s exclusive Super PVA LCD panels, you get a wide 178-degree viewing angle. Now everyone can sit in a great seat.

8ms response time: Fast sports require fast response from your LCD panel. Otherwise, the motion might get blurred. Samsung ensures a crisp image with a response time that’s more than double what’s required by the most demanding HD sources: 60 frame-per-second video (1/60 sec = 16.7ms per frame).

10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio: LCD panels create a picture by selectively letting light through from a constant source. This produces bright images effectively, but because that light source never turns off, dark images are more difficult to produce. Samsung analyzes each incoming frame and adjusts the panel and light source to produce the best result. This gives you deep, dark scenes without dimming the bright lights.

NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner: The ATSC tuner lets you receive free digital broadcasts, including HD signals, through an over the air antenna. QAM allows you to receive unscrambled HD from your cable provider without a set top box. The NTSC tuner will allow you to tune in to analog signals until the 2009 cutoff.

Game Mode: Gaming places high demands on the TV. People sit closer to the screen, instant response is required, and all images are computer generated. As a result, a TV should be "tuned" for games. Samsung learned the best practices from a leading console manufacturer and built them into Game Mode.

3 HDMI-CEC inputs: HDMI is the best digital connection for today’s high definition sources. CEC adds a control interface so that you can, for instance, insert a disc in your HDMI-CEC enabled DVD player that will turn on the TV and change it to the right input. All you do is close the disc tray! Samsung offers two of these inputs on the back of the set and one on the side to keep you connected well into the future.

Can anyone answer this digital camera question?

I am looking for a compact digital camera with the following features:

10+ megapixels
5+ optical zoom
16:9 aspect ratio
very high resolution
Less than 0

The goal is to travel overseas and take some great pics, then upload them onto my 40" LCD TV, and use my tv as a digital picture frame.

The closest I’ve seen so far is the spec on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2S I found on Newegg (not sure if it’s accurate). I’m just looking for something slightly cheaper than 0. I’d like to know if the Canon Powershot features the same 16:9 resolution.

Best digital picture frame?

I have been spending weeks looking for a great digital picture frame and there are simply too many options. Can someone recommend a frame based on the following REQUIREMENTS:

1) At least 800×600 resolution
2) At least 9 inches diagonal
3) Normal aspect ratio- nothing weird like 800 x 480
4) Excellent picture quality
5) USB port and the usual complement of card compability
6) Ability to play video and sound
7) Excellent overall quality

Thanks so much for any help you can offer!
