I want to buy a digital photo frame for my boyfriends birthday but have no idea which makes are good quality.
I have been looking at reviews for kodak ones but people seem dissappointed with the quality. Please help
Here’s a challenge to all you techies out there.
I have an standard LCD monitor with svga input. I want to use it to display pictures (i.e. like one of those digital photo frames you can buy) but don’t want to use a computer or laptop.
So, what other devices are available to show photos on a svga monitor? I have seen an mp4 player on eBay and a device that works from a hard disk but both were higher than I want to pay (max £30)
So, is there a cheaper mp4 player with vga output out there or is there a memory card reader or memory stick with (s)vga output either directly or via a simple adapter? Or anything else? I can’t believe nobody else is looking for something like this – have you seen the price of digital photo frames?
10 points and a bag of donuts to the best answer!

I’m doing a project for school, n i need one. We’re gonna return it as soon as the project is done but I’d still like a cheap quality one.
Hi everyone, I wanted to purchase a high quality digital photo frame for my father that was at least 10in. I liked the Phillips 10ff2m4/27, but I don’t think it is available yet. Any ideas or suggestions would be great; there is so much information online, but not too many consumer reviews.
His birthday is this weekend, and I would love to be able to purchase it before then =)
Thanks!
Thanks…those are some great websites. Any suggestions for physical stores?…so I can maybe go and take a look at them in person?
I’ve seen them occasionally where it will check an email address and download any photos sent to it for automatic display. Are these frames any good, how much should I expect to pay, and which models are the best? Ta.
BBtv online: tv.boingboing.net In this week’s Boing Boing Gadgets review episode on Boing Boing tv, Joel Johnson reviews the T-Mobile Cameo Picture Frame, which displays digital photos but also sort of works like a phone. Joel’s thumbs were neither decisively up nor down, but rather pensively wrapped around a bourbon tumbler. Link to Boing Boing Gadgets post with discussion thread.
i’ve tried to find some good ones around 100 bucks, but i cant find too many reviews for them. What is a good quality picture digital photo frame around 100 bucks??
Hi,
For our research, we have an industrial camera pointing vertically upwards at a parabolic mirror, with the end result we get 360 degree panoramic images / video. However, the industrial camera is only about 0.7 MP for video. We need a way of getting as high a resolution as possible at a frame rate of at least 5 fps, continously (and we’d prefer not to have to manually take photos one by one as there will be 10000s of frames). I’ve heard that some digital SLRS can take continuous high resolution photos at a reasonable frame rate if you hook them directly into a PC – which would be perfect. Can anyone fill us in on our options? Obviously a 00 digital SLR is preferable to a ,000 high end industrial camera. Thanks.
I thought it was a wonderful idea to get both sets of our parents digital frames for Christmas and fill the SD cards with loads of family photo’s stored on my laptop and disks.
But my laptop doesn’t have an SD card slot and i’m clueless how to produce this for them without-it sounded a lovely idea at the time!!!
PC only C drive – I used to have a great camera that I could send them back to sadly it broke and I am clueless:(
I need to sort this asap as I live away from my parents I delivered them the frame already but intended to post the SD card as I had run out of time so need to get in post really tomorrow in time for Christmas.
All help grateful preferably not leaving house as my 5month old is very ill and i’m not feeling my best. Thanks
I have a high resolution dSLR camera and I was wondering whether the pictures I take will show up correctly (ie: full picture instead of cropped) on a digital photo frame.
Thanks
I have been spending weeks looking for a great digital picture frame and there are simply too many options. Can someone recommend a frame based on the following REQUIREMENTS:
1) At least 800×600 resolution
2) At least 9 inches diagonal
3) Normal aspect ratio- nothing weird like 800 x 480
4) Excellent picture quality
5) USB port and the usual complement of card compability
6) Ability to play video and sound
7) Excellent overall quality
Thanks so much for any help you can offer!
What system do you have? What are the pros & cons? What size display do you have?
We are looking to buy our 83 yr old grandmother one for Christmas. We are debating over the type that uses memory cards or the one that is a subscription service as she lives in Texas. It needs to be simple for her to use, obviously because of her age, but we thought it would be a welcome addition to her new home. However, there are so many on the market and we’ve heard mixed reviews about them. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
which is the best make to use?
Hi, I just bought a new television that uses a usb connection to show photo slides in jpg format from my memory card. I want to turn my 40" LCD TV into a digital picture frame.
Where can I find some good high resolution photos of Europe and the rest of the world?
I am thinking about buying the Kodak EasyShare M820 Digital Picture Frame. It has good reviews on Amazon. However I am not sure, if I can use it with a Mac.
If you have other recommendations for digital frames, other brands, that would be great. The Kodak is a little pricey for me (at 5.XX).
I’m looking for a really good quality picture. It would be nice to play video as well and should be reasonably straightforward to use.
what is the best digital picture frame for under £50 in the united kingdom?
thanks
I’ve noticed there are cheap () digital photo frames and then there are expensive (0). Just want to know which would be a better buy for mothers day.
Thanks for the help
USA TODAY’s Jefferson Graham reviews digital photo frames by Pandigital, Kodak and Ceiva. Pandigital’s “blow the others away,” he says. Tune in and find out why. talkingtech.usatoday.com. http
I am open to suggestion. I quite like the 8.4" deko elite as it has nearly everything I need.

I need to get someone a gift for secret santa, 20-25 dollars and I was wondering if I should get this for her. : ) The reviews usually say that there is bad image quality, but IDK HOW bad, you know?! idk!
I am looking for a digital picture frame, size around 7 inches, preferably -if possible- is not a widescreen. What is the best brand for the resolution. I saw some cheap 7 inches picture frames with terrible resolutions.
Thanks!
I’d preferably like to get it on the internet before the beginning of April.
I think after looking around a 7" size screen should be the right size
