Well my girlfriend is getting a digital camera for Christmas from her mum and i was going to get her a digital photo frame to put pics of us in it so they get set on a slide show…but i don’t know whether the camera her mum is buying her is compatible with digital photo frames!
So are most modern digital cameras compatible with digital frames?
I want to gift someone a digital photo frame… but which one’s the best… what size is good? what features to look for? and where should I buy it?
Quote Digital image depend on a pixel. No matter how small you make the pixel, it is still a dot. No matter how you slice it, you still need LOTS of dots for high resolution. Look at a HDTV or LCD projection up close. LOTS of DOTS. LOTS of horizontal lines of resolution.
Film does not rely on dots… unless you get down to the atomic level – which we do not when we look at film images. So there is no dependency on the dots to determine the resolution. Look at a film frame or animation cell (like one from Roger Rabbit or Gone With The Wind or whatever film example you want). No dots. No pixels. Quote
What do you mean film does not use dots? Than what does it use than?

HELP ME please I’m not sure which one!
I bought a bunch of 10"X13" photo frames simply because they matched my furniture. I have lot of digital photos with higher resolution too, but the problem is that Snapfish, Sears, Photoworks, Target, JCPenny — all these studios never offer 10X13 digital prints..they have either 12X18 or 11X14 something…..quite a conundrum. Please suggest a way …
I cannot print 10X13 photo on 11X14 paper because I dont use a Photo printer. I use tools such as Snapfish etc which will print the photo in 11X14 format only. If you guys know a service that prints a 10X13 photo then thats the answer for my problem!

I just want to know if the pictures will come out clear?
I have an standard LCD monitor and I want to use it to display photos (i.e. like one of those expensive digital photo frames you can buy but bigger in size) but don’t want to use a computer or laptop. It should be independently hanging in my living room wall. I am also looking for good LCD TV with USB for the same purpose. Looking for best possible resolution (stunning photo look) .
So, what other devices (memory card reader etc.) are available to show photos on a svga monitor? Even I am ready to buy a cheap digital camera with TV/SVGA output
Regards
Dominic
As of now I have an LCD monitor with standard PC (VGA?) input. Is there any devices that can read my memory card and show photos without a PC.
I do not have a LCD TV and I was told that the photo quality in a TV is not that good of a monitor.
I am looking for a compact digital camera with the following features:
10+ megapixels
5+ optical zoom
16:9 aspect ratio
very high resolution
Less than 0
The goal is to travel overseas and take some great pics, then upload them onto my 40" LCD TV, and use my tv as a digital picture frame.
The closest I’ve seen so far is the spec on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2S I found on Newegg (not sure if it’s accurate). I’m just looking for something slightly cheaper than 0. I’d like to know if the Canon Powershot features the same 16:9 resolution.

do you think this cam will be ok?
-It seems to do this even when it is off, but louder when its on.
-It is a cheap brand (SHOMI) never heard of it…
–Do all DPF"S do this, or is it just mine?
–Can it be fixed?, How?
–If not, can you recommend a good (though not overly expensive) replacement.
If our Vision were to be converted ito digital photography or a Video,
1) Wht is the Raw Resolution and megapixels our Eyes see at ?
2) How many Frams per Second
3) If one Frame of our Vision would be converted into a Digital photo, wht wud be the size of the file ?
4) If our eyes see at so high resolution, why can’t we Zoom in, or must i say Like see some thing which is far very Clear, In more Detail ? Because in a Digital photo if when zoom in, we can see better if the Picture is of higher resolution.
5) By any Modification in the cells of the eyes, do u think in near future we are goin to get night vision if we want ?
6) why cannot a complete eye be transplanted from one person to another?
7) Suppose if we had black and white vision, wud u like it ? ![]()
8)if we cud see Ultra violet radiation or far infra red radiation, wht wud the colour be like?

Im trying to convert the high resolution photos in to 480 x 200 resolution. I am using Nero Photosnap but I dont understand what dpi (dots per inch) is for. How many dpi for 480 and how many for 220?
Im trying to put these photos in digital photo frame which supports 480 x 220 resolution photos so I want them to be crystal clear in the frame. Please help. Thank You

1.About every 3-6 months we go out and set up the tripod to take some posed pictures for the scrapbooks…sometime these are larger groups.
2.I take a lot of candid photos of the pets…they don’t sit very still for these.
3.I like to take close ups of the flowers that my husband grows.
4.I don’t travel too often, but when I do, I like having a fairly small camera that I can use to take quality photos that I can cherish later.
5.I don’t blow pictures up very large…I may print a few at 8×10, but mostly I view online and on my digital photo frame.
6.I’d like to be able to take pictures one after the other without a ridiculously long lag between them. ..I hate missing that perfect shot because my current camera just won’t start up and get going.
7.I’m not an idiot, but I’m not incredibly technically inclined either. So, I need a camera that is designed for the everyday user…and reviews for a laymen.
8.I can spend up to 0.
Thank You So Much for any help!!!

The laptop is a Compaq Presario 2100, totally dead, except the LCD was working before it died. The motherboard does not work. Can I use some cheap digital photo frame and replace the small 7" lcd with the large 15" lcd. Other ideas are also welcome.
I have basic knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, but additional details would help!

live.pirillo.com – Chris got a neat piece of tech: the Vista Frame. It’s a digital photo frame that isn’t as flawed as many of the other frames on the market. And, it earns some of Chris’s highest praise, calling it the best digital photo frame: chris.pirillo.com
Just bought a Technika 7" digital photo frame as a Christmas present. Will this work straight out the box or do I need any additional memory? Obviously I’d like this to work on Christmas day.
Where can I find a nice and relatively cheap (under 0) digital photo frame?
can someone recommend specific computer programs (i currently have a pc but i’m getting a mac soon) and a printer that i can use to print out very high resolution prints? I want prints good enough to frame.
I want to get a 9" digital picture frame for my parents for x-mas. I have been reading reviews on different ones and alot of the smaller ones (7" & 5") people are saying the pictures look like crap. The resolution on these is about half of the 9".
I can’t find any reviews on the 9" so I was wondering if anyone knew if this resolution would be good.
I have never seen these in person and don’t want to get my parents something that is crappy. Nor do I want to pay 0.00 for something that "plays" crappy photos.
Can anyone help me?
my best friends a boy, and i have around £30 to spend, for my birthday he bought me a digital photo frame so i have no clue what to get him. any ideas ??
preferably less than 0.
